Sunita Surajan is a digital leader with 14 years of experience in strategic partnerships, brand management, and marketing. She is a progressive and versatile executive with a combination of business and creative acumen, bold and unhindered in creating new cutting-edge, best-in-class digital experiences. She is presently working on Wandering Diva, a mobile-optimized luxury travel guide, in Los Angeles, CA.
Sunita was most recently at The Walt Disney Company where she recruited, developed and managed a team that promoted new deals and sweepstakes from Disney Parks & Resorts, Disney Store, and select licensees across online, email and social touchpoints. She built a highly engaged community on Facebook and achieved record-setting open and click-through rates for the daily email campaigns. Her ability to collaborate on cross-functional initiatives resulted in multiple team wins.
Prior to that role, Sunita held 2 other positions at Disney. She proactively managed a multi-platform partnership with HP, doubling projected revenue goals. Previously she promoted new TV shows, by synthesizing corporate goals & data from multiple sources into fun and engaging campaigns. She has also held positions at Variety, Sony, CAA and Pittard Sullivan. Brands that she has worked with include Disney, Marvel, Pixar, Hewlett Packard, Variety, American Express, Belvedere, AMC, Dell, BMW, Sony Pictures, Mattel, and Coca-Cola.
Sunita has an MBA from the University of Michigan, a BA in Telecommunications from Michigan State University and a Certificate in Film and Television from UCLA. She is an active member of the Producers Guild of America, and the Interactive Media Peer Group at the Television Academy. Sunita enjoys photographing UNESCO World Heritage sites, designing dresses, and often fantasizes about being a secret agent.
