Sunita Surajan is a leader with 14 years of experience in Content Production. She is a progressive and versatile executive producer with a combination of business and creative acumen, bold and unhindered in creating new cutting-edge, best-in-class content experiences. She is presently developing shows for live remote production with various levels of audience interactivity, for several platforms.
Sunita was most recently the Head of Content Strategy at Wandering Diva, a mobile-optimized luxury travel guide, in Los Angeles, CA. Prior to that role, Sunita held several roles at The Walt Disney Company. She launched a number of products and managed several multi-platform content partnerships.
She held a senior position at Variety, where she launched Variety's video channel and produced several series at numerous film festivals. She also produced sponsored branded videos for key advertisers and launched multiple microsites for festivals and awards season.
Sunita has held consulting roles at Mattel - HiT Entertainment, Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment, and CAA. Her projects involved extending major television shows across digital platforms to drive tune-in, engagement, and loyalty. Her first real job in the industry was at Pittard Sullivan, where she was part of the team that launched strategically-driven branding and design for ABC, DirecTV, TiVo, AOL, MSN, and more.

Sunita has an MBA from the University of Michigan, a BA in Telecommunications from Michigan State University, and a Certificate in Film and Television from UCLA. She sits on the Executive Committee and is the Events Chair for the Interactive Media Peer Group at the Television Academy. Sunita is an immigrant from Singapore and enjoys photographing UNESCO World Heritage sites, designing dresses, and writing.
